Terms of Service

1. Introduction

AgentApproved is operated by PowerBee Ltd (Company No. 06486578), registered in England & Wales. Registered address: John's Cross Farm, Mountfield, Robertsbridge, East Sussex, TN32 5JP, United Kingdom.

By using AgentApproved's website, API, SDK, or any related services ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Service Description

AgentApproved provides compliance attestation services for AI agents. The Service captures runtime events, maps them to regulatory frameworks (including the EU AI Act and Singapore Model AI Governance Framework), and issues cryptographically signed attestation certificates.

Attestation certificates are Ed25519 signed and independently verifiable. They provide evidence of agent behaviour at a point in time, not a guarantee of ongoing compliance.

3. Account and API Keys

API keys are created via the self-service endpoint. Keys are bearer tokens — treat them as passwords. You are responsible for all activity under your API key. If you believe your key has been compromised, revoke it immediately and create a new one.

We may revoke API keys that are used in violation of these terms, without prior notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service to attest your own AI agents or agents you have authority over. You may not:

• Use the Service to generate fraudulent compliance claims
• Attempt to forge or tamper with attestation certificates
• Use the API in a way that degrades service for other users
• Exceed rate limits (100 requests per minute per key)
• Reverse-engineer the attestation scoring algorithms
• Misrepresent the scope or meaning of an attestation certificate

5. Payment Terms

Free tier: 3 agents, 1,000 events per month, limited attestations. No credit card required.

Paid attestations: $0.01 USDC per attestation via the x402 protocol on Base (Coinbase L2). x402 payments are on-chain and irreversible by design.

Pro tier: $99/month via Stripe. Includes unlimited agents, unlimited events, priority attestation processing, and dedicated support.

All payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. For Stripe subscriptions, you may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of your billing period.

6. Attestation Certificates

Attestation certificates reflect the compliance assessment at the time of issuance, based on the events provided by your agent. Certificates expire after 24 hours.

AgentApproved does not guarantee:

• That an attestation will satisfy any specific regulator or regulatory body
• That compliance scores are legally binding
• That the assessed frameworks are complete or current representations of the regulations they map to
• That a passing score means your agent is fully compliant with any law or regulation

7. No Legal Advice

AgentApproved is a technical compliance evidence tool, not a law firm. Attestation certificates are evidence of agent behaviour, not legal opinions. They do not constitute legal advice, regulatory approval, or certification by any government body.

8. Intellectual Property

The AgentApproved SDK (agentapproved on PyPI) is released under the MIT licence. You may use, modify, and distribute it freely under those terms.

The server platform, APIs, attestation algorithms, compliance scoring logic, trust mark designs, and AgentApproved branding are proprietary to PowerBee Ltd. All rights reserved.

9. Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Event data submitted via the API is processed for attestation purposes and retained for the duration necessary to provide the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PowerBee Ltd's total liability under these terms shall not exceed the greater of:

• (a) the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
• (b) one hundred pounds sterling (£100).

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.

We are not liable for any regulatory penalties, fines, or enforcement actions imposed on you or your organisation, regardless of any attestation certificate issued by the Service.

11. Availability

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned maintenance. We are not liable for any losses arising from service unavailability.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You may stop using the Service and delete your API keys. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these terms.

On termination, your API keys are revoked and no new attestations can be issued. However, existing attestation certificates remain cryptographically verifiable — they are self-contained proofs that do not depend on our servers.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via the email address associated with your API key, or via a notice on the AgentApproved website.

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
